Surrey Heath Sports Awards 2019

Monday 21 October, 6.45pm, Camberley Theatre

The Surrey Heath Sports Awards 2019 provide a fantastic opportunity to recognise and reward talented local athletes, coaches, volunteers, teams and clubs for their outstanding achievements in sport over the past 12 months.

Surrey Heath took nominations in the following categories, and the winners are:

  • Active Surrey Coach of the Year - Kim Johnson, Camberley RFC
  • Surrey Security Community Project of the Year - Creative Dance, Windle Valley
  • Volunteer of the Year - Abigail Balcombe, Bagshot Cricket Club
  • Disability Sports Award - Welcome Wizards FC
  • Sports Personality of the Year - Christopher Hockey
  • Young Sports Personality of the Year - Charlotte Jennings-Evans, Saracens Mavericks
  • Outstanding Service for Sport - David Smith, Sporting Ring Amateur Boxing Club
  • Specsavers Surrey Youth Games award - Ethan Lampard
  • Young Ambassador of the Year - Mikayla Dodson
  • Coach of the games - David Noble, Badminton
  • Most Supportive School - Ravenscote Junior School

Those who were successfully short-listed for an award in one of the categories above were invited to attend the awards presentation which took place on Monday 21 October 2019 at Camberley Theatre, 6.45pm.

Winners from the Surrey Heath awards will go forward to Active Surrey’s county-level roadshow, where judges will decide who deserves the honour of being named the best in Surrey.

Those county-level winners will be celebrated locally in their community during January & February 2020.
